A School Travel Plan (STP) is a document or statement which sets out a programme of measures or initiatives for reducing the number of vehicle journeys made by children, parents and staff to and from school, thereby improving personal safety on the school-run.
Baby Seat Scheme
As part of its commitment to reducing the number of children injured in cars, the Road Safety Centre is operating a FREE baby seat loan scheme. The seat is also available for purchase at £20.
Cycle Helmet Scheme
To encourage cyclists to wear protective headgear, the Road Safety Centre is operating a low-cost cycle helmet scheme.
School Crossing Patrols
The Road Safety Centre is responsible for the operation and management of this service in Cardiff. School Crossing Patrol Officers operate at many locations throughout Cardiff, and each day they assist thousands of people to cross the road safely. Vacancies for patrols often exist.
