Training for Motorcyclists
Basic six-week moped training courses are conducted at the Road Safety Centre during the autumn and winter school terms and are available to High school pupils in Cardiff.
The main emphasis is on machine control and safe riding practice, but the course also uses classroom based theory lessons which deal with, legal documents, protective clothing, the Highway Code and traffic regulations, the economics of riding and drinking and riding.
Upon completion of the course each student undertakes a basic practical riding assessment and if successful is awarded a certificate. If you are a secondary school teacher and would like further information, please contact the Road Safety Centre.

Bike Safe Cymru
BikeSafe is an initiative run by Police Forces around the United Kingdom who work with the whole of the biking world to help to lower the number of motorcycle rider casualties. By passing on their knowledge, skills and experience, police motorcyclists can help you become a safer more competent rider.
The Maindy Road Safety Centre currently plays host to Bike Safe Cymru and further courses are planned.
