Up one levelRoad Safety - Theatre in Education
Drama is an excellent means of teaching road safety to children and students of all ages. Drama enables young children to learn about road safety through fun and interaction, while high school pupils to learn through the delivery of hard-impacting safety messages.
Kerbcraft
Kerbcraft has been running successfully in a number of Cardiff schools since September 2002 and has been very well received by participating schools.
Road Safety Visits to Schools
Staff at the Road Safety Unit are able to undertake a range of practical training courses and pedestrian demonstrations in nurseries, infant and junior schools during the school term.
Junior Road Safety Officers
The Road Safety Unit in conjunction with a number of local primary schools launched the Junior Road Safety Officer (JRSO) scheme during the autumn term of 2004. Currently twelve schools are involved in the scheme.
